In 2004, Utensileria Modenese befriended a new service company called UM S.r.l. In 2008, thinking about taking a step further into growing as a business, Utensileria decided to relocate the headquarters into a huge industrial area in Via Repubblica Val Taro, 220 (Modena). A year later, they joined Confindustria to work as a team altogether.
The 1990s
It was in 1990 when the company started seeing growth results. These were proven three years later, when Utensileria Modenese joined the Consorzio Distributori Utensili (CDU). This membership led to acquiring a wealth of knowledge and experience that enabled it to guarantee its customers a better outcome and best-fit solutions for problems that require both technological and technical-specific knowledge.
In 1994, Utensileria Modenese became the first retail company in Emilia-Romagna to obtain an ISO 9002 certification.

The 1980s: change at the top
In 1981, the operational responsibility was taken by Mauro Massa and Luppi Simonetta, who transformed Utensileria Modenese into a company increasingly specialized in the field of cutting tools and measuring instruments.
From the foundation to the late 1980s
In 1949, Walter Sighinolfi changed his career as a toolmaker at Magneti Marelli to become a hardware retailer. From then, the business became permanent in Viale Storchi in 1956. Nine years later, in 1965, Utensileria Modenese was born as a retail business, selling machine tools and accessories.
